Drowning In Despair Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Drowning In Despair

Drowning in the sea of despair
Feeling distressed alone
With nothing near, no one would care
Hearing frustrations groan

With mankind lost, this world ailing
No more, sweet nature's song
Somewhat somehow is failing
Something is sadly wrong

If God is life's true Creator
If Jesus, for us died
Would someday sooner or later
Life's facts no longer hide?

Truth would appear like thunder
Fear would worldwide reign
Miracles, aghast all would wonder
Sinners would plead insane

With church bells ceaselessly ringing
Atheists run amok
Christians alone will be singing
Whilst earth revolves in shock

So it was, and now! is with me
Before salvation came
Till Christ life's Saviour set me free
From every spot of shame

These true facts I'm telling you now
This world's confused with rot
Until man's knees to Jesus bow
Salvation will be not

Be wise my friend, look deep inside
Consider all said and done
For you on Heaven's cloud to ride
Kneel before Christ God's Son......
