Drowning Plutarchy Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

Drowning Plutarchy

dragon threatens english crown
in international waters
declaration from london town
revenge and show no quarters

once brittania ruled the waves
with gunboat diplomacy
now they sink to watery graves
a drowning plutocracy

bankers hoist the union jack
some call it piracy
though no cannon to attack
wage war with currency
