Dual Dancer (For Steven Mccrae) Poem by Richard G Berg

Dual Dancer (For Steven Mccrae)

Childhood's money drought
Drives dancer to share himself
With plenitude's coins
Stunning people's hearts with wealth
Childhood's smiles richer for him

Dancer tapping in
To fear and freedom on stage
Dancer tapping out
Roles to the music of hope
To un-tap people's closeness

Inspired by watching
Drag racers who crashed but soared
Refusing to brake
Stories shaping dance stories
Igniting his highest leaps
