Dual Role Poem by Nidhi Shetty

Dual Role

Just one is all we have
So one got to live it best way
But for few it get vexed
When two roles in one
Coaxed they are to play.
They are loved and cared in one
The other strives alone
The two though assorted
Yet do often collide
Thus is the tale of their plight
Amidst their heart throbs
Whose happiness clings to their's
Eyes glitter owing to their smile
Forehead wrinkles
When their eyes seem to glisten
They reflect life of glee
But deep inside dwell foes
Battling to no end
Melancholy borne lone
Tears reserved for isolation
They beam in pain
Smile that's no merry
But a mask to deceive others
To avoid grief of near ones
For it wud add to that of self
Thereby landing up being hypocrites
While others fail to understand
There they are……… praying
Veracious part of the role is delusive.
