Baltimore's harbor's quiet
No more ships sailing day and night
Now it's a government town
All on the dole, truth be known.
Children play in the streets, just the same
But now they have no father or a name
Just children raising children they say
With no one knowing who's to pay.

When there are no more welfare children
Stone steps will be swept clean
And civility will return to man.
