Duck With A Human Mind Poem by Suzanna Chevalier

Ducks of course have no ego like man
they get in a fight and swim off as fast as they can.
Now if a duck had a grey human mind
it would make up stories in it’s head all the time.
It would seek revenge, or try to defend
maybe even try to pretend.
That the other duck is the enemy
It’s all in the duck’s mind
wow, this is funny once we find.
We project our thoughts out into space
maybe this is all just a “crazy place”.
But hey, what imagination man has
we can make up stories even if they don’t come to pass.
