Due That Time Poem by MAREME PETER KGWETE

Due that time of daily-tears.
Due that time of peaceless life,
Due that time of separation,
when lives were lost like a wilted leaves in winter,
when equality and peace was everybody's dream.
when colour and some charecteristics separate a family,
heros were there
dreaming a fair life too.
compassionally aiming to sacrifice
life for peace, fair life and love,
With God's grace our prayers have been answered.
sadly some did not reach the river
through the desert journey
and some did,
but a hero is a hero,
they all deserve our thanks,
through that time they took the whole country as their own family and faught for us,
today we are one,
Wars have varnished.
we shall thank God for the rain of peace He brought us.
