Lights are meant to shine
Darkness, a villain to illumination
Shadows act as shields to identities,
Fear, a neighbor to the blind
We crave strength in the toughest moments
Greatness and resilience lay in some
of our iconic monuments
All we possess is scripts about taming
both fear and torments
We dance to music played without
any instruments
Our cognition fathers our epic memories
The only path of reliving these moments
exposes us to the villain of illumination
A river full of tears is what hinders this opportunity
Uncertainties about befriending trust
deepens the pain inflicted on us by our past
They say Joy comes in the morning,
but we only see joy through the sights of Owls
Metaphors failed to describe what
the heart desired to spill
We are slaves on this journey they call Life
A journey where,
road signs are mirages
Yes!
We are slaves trying to escape from
our masters through this tunnel
Our hearts are overflowing with fear
But all we know is,
Going back is not an option
The Light of day is all we hope for
The closer we get
the more we are exposed to the uncertainties
of a brighter world!
