Dunces Poem by Caroline Misner

Dunces

A multicoloured pointed cap
pushes through the crowd
and tries to pull it back.
Behind it, all in a row,
round black holes in their masks,
four white dunces follow
like ghosts skimming the stream,
with no particular place to go.
