Dusk holds hope
As the day draws in,
The light fades to a glimmer,
Yet dusk holds hope,
Like within you grows its shimmer.
As the sun leaves the sky,
Hold me fast and hold me tight,
Dusk will be our time,
Out of sight and out of mind.
Our chance to elope,
Your heart holds mine on a tether,
Dusk holds hope,
To take our moment in forever.
Hidden from the world
Take me through your fantasies,
You're my final one,
My twilight destiny.
His all consuming will
Knows no boundaries and still,
Under his intoxicating spell
She's near to sacrifice as well.
As the light fades she sees...
Fiery eyes which flicker,
Intense, his fate to keep her,
His emerald sea of treasure,
Dilates her soul with pleasure.
Intent on holding gaze,
Breaking through the shallow maze,
His life stream flows upon her
And floods her world with wonder.
Planets align as hands entwine,
The stars assigned to seal their bind.
His energy gives her life to breathe,
His light cascades internally.
A light which opens up the heavens,
A touch which promises safe havens,
As sharp as his wit
His intriguing profile sticks,
And weighs heavily on her mind...
My mind, it won't stop spinning
A kaleidoscopic blend of paths,
My soul, it can't stop tripping
Up a path towards the stars.
The unknown hurts in every way,
A thousand dreams pass night and day,
A choice to make, a path to stray
A love to save or send away?
Awake between realities,
Or sleeping in a lucid dream?
A twisted fate
I can't escape
But I don't want to either...
Fading into dark,
Holding fast to a part
of a never ending story,
To live in its perpetual glory
And never look back.
So invisible, she submits
To the rationale that fits:
Stay in the twilight glow...
And never let me go
The arctic winds begin their torture
Bitter and unrelenting
Waits upon my repenting
Did the sin taste better?
In a black and white world no
But in this world of colour it was sweet fate
But who am I without principle
Or is it to every rule there's an exception
Which one am I learning
Or learning to rationalise
It hurts, the confusion,
The how's, the why's
How cruel a life
That I still don't deserve
Because despite what's meant to be, it was still me
Me that
Tides of agonising guilt
Depths of emptiness
No matter which path was chosen,
The old path was gone
The moment I fell for you
Was the moment
Everything was lost and found
Lost a love and a piece of my soul
Found a heart to dedicate my all
I'm ripped apart then brought back whole
Merciless orchestra, who's in control?
