Dust You Are Poem by Pasquale DiMeola

Dust You Are

Enshroud me with grape wisteria vines
Yellow daffodils sprout between the toes
Hearken to Mother Earth seasonal signs
Splatter me where creeks and riverlets flow

Let the ping of raindrops soak my spirit
Revive the breath with a springtime sunglow
Arc rainbows low enough to be near it
Take flight wherever the wild wind blows

Homograft my face on every tree bark
Allow insects to devour my soul
Play the songs of mocking birds and sky larks
Spread my ashes where every flower grows.
