Dusty Striations And Dirty Window Blinds Poem by Shannon Walker

Dusty Striations And Dirty Window Blinds

No gym today.
The breeze is soft,
Too soft for that
Distraction now.
Let's not forget
How much there is
To read this day,
And how the words;
Those black and white
Distractions, leap,
Leap off the page,
Off a dead page.
It's hot today,
And yellow bands
Of sunlight fall
Across my pale
Blue lines and sway
In front of me,
As children laugh,
And splash, and play.
