Dying Souls. Poem by Bamukunda Hillary

Dying Souls.

Rating: 4.5

.
We look on with fear
Our hearts filled with past memories of terror
We can't dare the devil to right the future
We have decided to live worried
Its either my life or your life
Whoever still breathes by tomorrow.
.
We have been bruised left and right
Our hearts are dripping of blood
Because of the untreated wounds
We have chosen to live in pain
Better the devil you know than a sparkling angel
We won't join any struggle
We look on fear.
.
We talk too much
We praise the suffering souls
We support violence
We love hands on.
Beautiful ideas but little practice
Wepolitalk too much
They politick too much
.
We have given up on our country
We have given up our freedom
We are slaves to money
We can even sell our shadows
We don't need much. We surely need an envelope
We are disunited for individual progress
We are grafted Ugandans
The dying souls with no return.
