Each Day’s A Challenge Poem by Marilyn Lott

Each Day’s A Challenge

Rating: 2.8

Each day is such a challenge
For we don’t know what we’ll see
As we rise up from our beds
We cannot act complacently

Sometimes I think that perhaps
Life is just a progressive test
We can only make the choices
That we think will be the best

Around that next curve we face
It could be the best we’ve had so far
Or it could be the worst of course
But we must look for a shining star

I think it’s like the sky above
There are mornings so clear and bright
And then a day or so later we wake to
Such a cold and dreary sight

But wouldn’t it be boring
If each day was just the same
I think we’d want to go back down
The path in which we came!
