Early Morning Poem by Jim Milks

Early Morning

Rating: 5.0

As I wandered through a wood I stopped to take a look
The only sound was animals at play
And off in the distance the babbling of a brook
How I longed to stay

Like an invader sneaks my appointment book
The invader slowly pushes the tranquility away
Stealing it away just like a crook
And off I head to face the work day

Wonderful poem and beautiful topic of the tranquility of nature being pushed away for work.. and portaying it as an invader which it is to the most simply beautiful things in life we should be grateful to still have. It reminds me of the days I would walk to school through Australian woodscrub.. that now is all house development. So thankyou for reminding me... Take care, Mel xxx
