Earth Mother Poem by Kate Meyer

Earth Mother

Can you hear it?
Do you hear the earth's voice;
Calling you, asking you to listen;
All around you the earth mother speaks;
The whispering of the trees
The wind's gentle voice in the breeze,
The pure soft rushing of water flowing down the creek,
All around us the mother speaks;
Wondering if you are one of her children
Who hears her sweet honeyed voice,
Her words that make all worldly pains fade away;
Are you one of nature's children?
Who can respond to thy maidens words,
And whose spirit reflects nature itself;
So are you a Keeper?
One with the abilities to heal-
To tend the wounds of natures pain,
From the cruelty of humanity;
Our mother calls out to you now,
It's your choice if you choose to answer-
Or let it pass by deaf ears,
Will you answer the call?
Will you answer our mother?
Answer her callings of her children.
