Easter Hunt Poem by Tears In Rain

Easter Hunt

Now it’s time to go out on an Easter Day’s Hunt.
Bring your basket and wits and cunning. They must be sharp and not blunt.

Just out the door is a house with a gold painted Bock*.
Find the clue by the arch with sharp eyes and some luck.

From the goat to the lamb, both Easter-like creatures,
check directly below all his golden-like features.

There’s a store up ahead with pretty things and a gate,
and there’ll be a note waiting there if we’re all not too late.

On the way down this slope, is a ‘Lost Kitty’ note,
and I hope that they’ve found him, as you too what I wrote.

Balloons shaped like eggs can be seen not far away.
They’re hard too like mine, but less colorful, O.K.?

Towards your favorite store, Müller, just through this way.
Is the forum with pillars. Round the yellow one if you may.

Find a single pink flower on your way from Bronn Tor**
About 40 steps towards the Marktplatz***, maybe less, but not more.

Keep along the marked bike path to the fountain ahead.
You’ll find the next clue quite certainly, if you heed what I’ve said.

Around the corner and on the wall are two bird-houses fine.
They both look so cozy, I wish they were mine

Up to the Mexikaner**** would be nice, For they love Easter too,
and beneath the bull and the fighter I’ve left you a clue.

Just a little further up is a sand-box I know,
and I’ve buried treasure there underneath that what’s yellow.

Now I’m thirsty and could verily do with a drink,
So I jump over th the Brunnen**** with a smile and a wink.

Whew! the day is quite windy, so the flags should be flying,
and there should still be a note up above underlying.

A close friend lives nearby here. Boy, she really is sweet.
So I’ve placed a clue there too, and I've left her a treat.

Take the stairs to the church on this soon sunny day,
then check under each bell and you’ll find the next way.

Now down you must go, past the poor egg I dropped.
To my colleage in green down I hopped and I hopped.

Descending these stairs brings you to a corner patch of grass.
I’ve hidden another hint there, but I hope it’s not nass****

Now right along this lane you’ll see a sign painted blue.
Check behind ‘Mommy and Me’ and you’re sure to find the clue.

Climb down to the castle and then up the tallest of towers.
From it’s peak find the next note amongst a patch of pretty flowers.

In the valley down below, see a garden of richly green.
Turn the stone atop the steps, and get a glimpse of what I mean.

Ta da! You’ve found my little secret. It’s my hidden Easter Garden.
Now just hunt for all those eggs. They're about. I’m sure you’ll find them.
