Echo Chamber Poem by Sally Mayor

Echo Chamber

Words tumble down the screen in a never-ending stream
of collective consciousness, out there for all to read.

Entire arguments expressed in a few hundred characters,
outraged tweeters seeking comrades and shares.

Constant scrolling, fuming, trolling, there's no
debate , only hatred and sneering at the other side.

From screens to reality, rifts form factions, threats
become real and words become action.

Hatred grows. Tensions swell.
History teaches it won't end well.
