Echoes Poem by Larry B. Stell

Echoes

The echoes from afar and distant past
Cling to my lasting, intriguing thoughts
They remain within and always last
Embellishing my life like ocean troughs

Wherein those echoes erupt in dreams
To haunt my reverie, attained in sleep
They bind my life like flowing streams
To give my life rich rewards to reap!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this poem among 40 other poems in 2005, three years after retirement from teaching. My inspiration came from having lived abroad 25 years and settling down to a serene retirement in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
