Echoes Of Everest: A Poetic Ascent Poem by Vikas Kumar

Echoes Of Everest: A Poetic Ascent

A journey to the roof of the world, we set our sights and hopes
On Everest Base Camp trek, a challenge in mind though overwhelming sight
Through valleys and peaks, we trek with might and pride
The Himalayas - abode of grace, testing my endurance and faith in mine.

The trail winds coming on, a path of stone, dirt and delight
We climb higher, the air grows thin and pain soared
The wind howls loud, the snow and ice we flirt
Our spirits set high, our hearts full of life.

The sun sets low, the stars appear in the sky
We set camp beneath the mighty, the night so light and bright
The moon casts shadows, a silvery radiating glow
We dream of summit, our hearts aglow

The next day dawns, and we rise again
The climb begins, our journey's just begun
The ice and snow, a harsh terrain
We ride on, our hearts filled with joy

The air grows thin, the winds they do howl
We push our limits on, our spirits never dull
The trail unwinds now, the summit in sight
We reach the top, the world in sight
