Echoes Of Excruciation Poem by Wanangwah Mlenga

Echoes Of Excruciation

What a slip have I done?
A slip with no one to incriminate
Cause I had all the advice of avail
Had I known the advice will come true
I could just listen and apply

Now alone on earth
Enjoying the smell of ignorance
Had I known I wasn't a champion
I could just listen and apply

In tears of retrieve I live
Crying for help but no one to act on
Walking in streets as a slave
Looking for honey in sensitive hives
Indeed the torment of poverty has impinged on me

Curing the diseases I try
So that atleast things can work
But I've realized that it's too late
To clear mistakes and illnesses present
Indeed in remembering tears flow
