Echoing Rain Poem by Alex McCullough

Echoing Rain

The color of the moon tonight,
Is so amazing it can't be described.
Though inside my heart,
The light has become so faint,
That it seems like it could go out at any second.
The world around me,
Can't understand what I'm going through,
Since they don't know what it's like,
To be without something that should be there.
With sadness as my only companion,
It feels like this rain shall never stop.
The beat that you started in my heart,
Has become so lost,
Because without you here with me,
It feels like nothing is as it should be!
The tears in my heart are endless,
Just as my feelings for you are.
I want to run up to you,
And hold you until my arms grow numb,
Because when your here with me,
You seem to stop the rain somehow.
The nights have only grown longer,
As has my love for you.
But the flame in my soul,
Won't let itself be put out,
Not until I'm back in your arms,
And ours hearts echo as one,
Once again.
