Eclipse - Poem by Nobert Mathumo

I have seen the sun and the moon
Become intimate
They shared love that stole light
Off earth………
And divided the world opinion
Right down the middle
You call it eclipse
I call it love
For calamity makes cousins of a soul
It comes unannounced
Like change of weather I assume

Here
But not quite of here;
In it
But not in, or of, it;
Embedded, yes!
Look on the inside
Through the proverbial glass ceiling

A permanent feature
A choice between bestiality and necrophilia
When hearts meet

The temp in a day snow
Is far much different
From temp in a daring blizzard
For all the symbolism
And the ironic appropriation of iconic image
In popular culture
Of love …..
And For love….
