Edge Of Insanity 🤍 Poem by Zaira Fatima Aftab

Edge Of Insanity 🤍

Don't heed me as weak, or naive,
For I have fought with demons, guised as angels,
Ran in circles, drenched in misery,
Slashed by hatred, blamed with pretence,
Mocked by superiority, shunned with dishonesty,
Gasping for air, trembling with fear,
Got my back broken, my humility sabotaged,
Left to crawl,
Splattered by withdrawals from endless tremors; shaking, breaking, crying, suffocating from it all,
I had with me but an evaporated smile, and your faith, love by my side,
The leap was like mountain huge,
Ergo,
I plunged forward with all my blues,
Snatching my life's reins from their hands,
Thus, Salvaging myself from the brink of insanity's clench...
