Edge Of The Sea (Love Poem) Poem by Mark Blackstone

Edge Of The Sea (Love Poem)

Rating: 5.0

I stand at the edge of the sea,
Hoping Poseidon will bring you to me.
You haunt my dreams, my vision,
But it seems fate is in derision.
Every now and then, my dream comes true,
And I see you in your Navy blue.
I hold you dear and close,
Wish time would have froze.
But you are gone, back to the ocean,
My heart still remains to you in devotion.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Well, im texting this one girl in the Navy. She's amazing and well, we had dated before she went into the Navy, but talking with her, we seemed to be on the right track of getting back together. Thinking about her, I was inspired to write this poem.
