Education Poem by Okoemu Okoemu Okoemu

Education

in the giant of her continent, she is a shadow of her self, fallen and dilapidated.

filled with quarks and brood of vipers
Breeding out cowards and brainless souls.

a river of extortion and where students are liquidated, rendered beyond half a yellow sun.

in a higher one along a long road, from ancient to aso where Zuma sits unmoved, a-one without 'A, only with A and U,

pay, paying, payment of everything, up to the air breathed in, payment. Students ban from everything except to pay.

education is expensive, try ignorance! They say.
Nonsense, idiots, who know not nothing.

learning as rigorous is education expensive, not paying for everything, process of learning as stressful is education expensive, not paying like hell.

Education should be free
Not compulsory,
Or should be subsidized, still not compulsory.
Education is for all not for few that is why it should be free though not to be compulsory.

But the brood of vipers
Idiots and goats
Who parades as 'V' without a 'C', and 'Reg' without the 'stra' and 'eans' without the 'D' even the 'Ho' without the 'd'

sits for hours to make education politics and make themselves worse than one man from otta, and one man from iyamoh, and also one man from okada... And one man from otuoke.

Them and them who enjoyed missionaries free schools, alli and Awo's free education, now says, education won't be for us if we have no thousands to pay.

May their judges be unfair
May their last days be of miseries.
