Egg Shell Heart... Poem by Nestor David Armas

Egg Shell Heart...

She broke me;

I was whole,

Now I lay in pieces;

My mind here,

My heart there;

My soul everywhere,

What can bring me together?

But she who scattered,

My thoughts like roaches;

In the light,

She can make time tick again;

My pulse beat once more,

Ground me;

Lightning redirect,

Make me re-awake;

From this coma,

Induced nightmare;

That is my yearning,

For what isn't there;

Only she can glue me,

Back together, Humpty Dumpty;

My heart an egg shell...
