Einstein whispered
In a half-deaf ear
Secrets untenable to a cauterized world
What foul equations
Linger in dust
Light years hence on a black-holed road
Uncovered iniquities
Wrack the brain
Blood to wine and flesh to bread
We stumble on the square root of Truth
Divided by the remainders
Of sums uncalculated
Enchanted logarithms
‘Neath a geometric moon
While smiling serpents
Bid us eat
Forbidden fruit.
