Elements Poem by Darren Harris

Elements

All alone in the woods,
With darkness all around,
The rain is falling heavily,
Splish splash on the ground,

Is their someone here with me?
Or is my mind playing a game?
As the wind blows hard through the trees,
It sounds like its calling my name,

So beneath a tree I do shelter,
As the woods encircle me,
Cutting off my escape,
Its not letting me go free,

Then as I look I’m filled with fear,
Because a mist is rolling in,
Engulfing all in its path,
It’s devouring everything,

So I need to escape from its grip,
Before I’m imprisoned here forever,
And tortured by the elements,
By the mystery of weather.
