Eleven At Night Poem by Mikey Estrada

Eleven At Night

You came into my life for a few years and then you were gone.
It’s like the night stars disappearing into the light of dawn.
The time that you were apart of me I’ll never forget.
I know I’ve done somethings to make you upset but That’s the time that you gave me a chance to push the button to reset.
I remember the pictures we have drawn, and our mini picnics out on your front lawn.
Today while I was sitting down at my desk wondering what to right, I get a call at eleven at night, it’s you wanting to reunite.
Were on the phone reminiscing about the old days, There was times when I wish it could go back to that way.
I have so much to say, since we been so far away.
I just hope to hear that you’re doing okay.
I remember when we first met you were a kangaroo.
That I was probably something you’d think I forgot that I knew.
People change and so does the time.
Hope you treasure the rhyme.
