Ellipses



Entering the cafe, I find J
crunching a molecular biscuit.
His weary girl lies under the deadly shadow of the pepperpot.
Desparately, I attempt to
remove the barrier of the.....
Sympatically, the toaster transmits
a distress signal from the passing aircraft.
Intermittently, the Martian tripod,
disguised as a cakestand,
ullulates victoriously across the room.
Stooping, the waiter takes
a knife from the floor.
Despondently, I run sluggishly to a corner
to escape the....
Outside the burning compressor, traversing the street,
implodes with a dull thud.
The waiter, exulting, brandishes a knife!
Gesturing desparately, I attempt to explain the enigma of the....
Suddenly, the transmission from the passing aircraft
is acknowledged by the successful toaster after all!
Desparately, I manoeuvre the deadly pepperpot
out of the cafe.
The blazing compressor, describing an arc,
approaches the open door.
Ullulating shrilly, the triumphant pepperpot
fuses with the compressor after all!
Laughing gaily, the waiter plunges his knife in the heart of the toaster.
Wearily, I persistently attempt to discover the key to....
The berserk compressor, attracting a crowd, dances with the blazing waiter.
Desparately. I perpetually attempt to escape from....
And so on.
