Elsewhere Poem by Pearl Colette

Elsewhere

When I die
will my life leave my body
and flow

Will I become
a breath through the trees

or a deep sea wave
so far out
that it is seen by none
but simply felt

Maybe even a breeze
that dances through the summer
swoops low through the grass
flies up to meet you

Perhaps earning the blessing
of diving down and inside

Filling your lungs

breath in (intoxication) breath out

Dancing in the innermost of you

Filling the space around
