Embaressment Poem by Jenny Williams

Embaressment

You try to laugh
But all that comes
Is murmurs, tears, stifled sounds

You try to hide
Behind the mask
Where half-disfigured shadows dance

Pretence is made
When reality, unashamed
Throws your weakness in your face
