Embargo Poem by CHISENGA KENNETH

Embargo

I refuse!
The rhythm repeats
I refuse
And I refuse it all

You took it all
But one thing
I won't give u this thing
All my joy u swept it all
You took everything
And I've nothing
Only one thing
Only the first thing
Am a pallor coz u took it all
Even pally's pall
Even so the rhythm repeats
I refuse!

You took everything
My yummy yuca
My yakka
My wealth
My health
But only one thing
And the rhythm repeats
I refuse!

You took it all
My chiefdom
My freedom
My relief
My belief
U stole it all
Even so the rhythm repeats
I refuse!

Am a belligerent bellicose
Am ebulliently belligerence
I refuse fanatic yuppies
To toy with my nappies
For my identity is my éclaircissement
My originality and enlightenment
I refuse to lose everything.
