Embrace A Hug Poem by Brooke Moran

Embrace A Hug

I had a dream that made me sad
I had a dream that made me cry again
I had a dream that made my pillow wet
I had a dream that I wont ever forget
I had a dream that was past the meaning of sad
I had a dream that you were going away again
I had a dream that captured my heart
I had a dream that was so terrifying that it torn me apart
I had a dream that I saw you once more
I had a dream where it was reality before
I had a dream that you were leaving for Iraq again and after you told me that
I told you, you are my best friend
In my dream I felt a tightness around my shoulder blades
It was the greatest tightness I could of ever embraced
Your hug was like angel wings and there I flew
And when you let go you flew off too.

'I had a dream that you were leaving for Iraq again and after you told me that I told you, you are my best friend' I love that line, made me move inside, really set you upon a slight climax when you think about that line, you almost begin to ask rheotorical questions about the feelings and emotions of the victim. Thanks for painting your words for me to read.
