Emotional Sharpnel Poem by Thunderstorm Lullaby

Emotional Sharpnel

We met at what seems like last night,
And at the same time forever ago.
The spark between us when we first met lit the fuse,
And now my heart is going to blow.
As your patience grew short, so did the fuse
As it became clear that you had been used.
But what you must understand
is that I didn’t know any better,
let all the deception and lies get wired like a letter.
Now the fuse is almost burnt at last,
I’m not just goin’ to let her
Leave me alone to take the blast.
The gap you left,
It’s pulling me in
Filling in that hole in my chest.
Now your heart’s about to blow
Oh god oh god no
Now I’m no longer me
My sharp wits now dull
Now im just riddled
With your Emotional Shrapnel…
