Emotions Poem by Garba Inuwa

Emotions

Just like the birds
That flew about,
Away and so justified,
Like a baron that beats
So easily the law
Like
A floating paper
that seems so valueless
as it drew near
with a swing and a sway
and about became so captivating.

Looking sightlessly
Into nothingness and silently
the eyes said it all.

Cajoled by the raving beauty
And a broad morning smile appear
So much subtly and voluptuously cool,
and funny too.

The mind is tempted
To hold on one,
The soul is imprisoned,
Stunned to hell,
The love does not deserve
sympathy.

For when the price
Cannot be paid
Because they are not cheap
Even if I can give everything
And the whole world mine
In what way can my intentions
Change my emotions
While my needs severely challenge
My weakness.
How can I not accept
What I cannot get
Free me, for I want to be free.
