Empathy. Poem by Derrick Andrews

Empathy.

Rating: 3.0

Enticing, delicious rumors spread, and catch the ears of many,
Making fools into therapists, claiming they know plenty,
Pretty eyes tell pretty lies, they'll never be relenting,
As time is spent on shedding tears, instead of just preventing.
They never seem to let things die, human nature, right?
Here, we see the truth of interest dart into the light.
Your inner self chooses empathy, 'cause you're too scared to fight.

You expressed much truth here about human nature in this poem. Well done. Jeannie Spiritsong
