I can no longer lie
And say I don't care
You threw away my love
Like it wasn't there.

You said you felt nothing
But I know thats not true
I saw the look in your eyes
The sparkle too

You kept to yourself
And had no trust in me
You were a bird in a cage
Meant to be free

The hole in my heart
Is now to deep to fill
You knew that then
And lied to me still

The feelings of love
Quickly wore to hate
Things needed to be fixed
But it was too late

There was no hope for us
Not even a chance
We were doomed from the start
From the very first glance

Then a twist of fate
Brought back meaning to my life
You pulled it out of my back
That sharp jagged knife

I again came to you
As dumb as could be
All those feelings of hurt vanished
When you said you loved me

I knew you didn't mean it
But being a fool
I decided to stay
And broke every rule

Unsure of my feelings
Questioning what the future held
Again surrendering my heart
But this time to meld

Then once again those words
They stung me so bad
Stripping me of all the good
That I ever had

You said you felt nothing
That I had been used
So harshly again
My love was abused

I am now numb
You left me so scarred
My heart is now locked
And will forever be barred

All my love for you
Has set with the sun
Just as soon as it started,
It is all done
