Empty Poem by Rob Mandel

Empty

Something was left upon here's arrival
Universal sensations overflow an ordinary cup
now residing in a touchless place
grinding emptiness replaces triumphant joy
though the voice inside persists
let me reside next to a freezing window
rather than a warm bed in a four walled room
