Noone to hold on to,
And nobody to know.
I wish I had a friend here,
But friendships are hard to grow.
Empty space is what I have,
Noone to reach out to.
I push everyone away,
Friendships I thought untrue.
Sincere, though they have seemed,
Deceit I did perceive.
I kept them at an arms length,
Indifference, they did recieve.
If only I could trust more,
If only I could love.
I would have a room of friends,
Who'd lift me up above.
Instead I have this empty space,
A vacuum of despair.
no friends here in this room,
I have but just one prayer.
Please give me a friend this day.
One who may stay true.
A friend who I can trust,
One that may trust me too.
