Endings Poem by Cath Harrington

Endings

Feeling so emotional for a life I'm leaving behind,
I change my world, painting my colours a new shade of light,
Feelings of loss as I take down the old paper,
A memory well worn, which now lays ironicaly torn,
As this house creaks in the midnight motions,
I feel its recordings pierce straight through,
A room in tatters to a life laid bare,
All thats left is the emptiness of my marriage inside,
And yet somehow I know of many things yet to come,
A new life I am creating, one I no longer fear..
