Enlightened Poem by Shirley Harrison

Enlightened

Where my tears once heavy

are now weightless

it must be because

iv'e shared such grief

in a world that's

filled with much of its own

i'm now able to walk

when forever before

I was just dragging my feet

on the cobbles of life

almost as if

they were made of stone.
