Enlightened Ways Poem by Michael Dikeman

Enlightened Ways

Surprising things, wonderfully, wholly new from beginnings to ends we find ourselves attuned.
Life's questing will bring a mend to what withered troubles rend.
Finally, greeting those amazing times when all things rhyme.
We try and see what lies ahead, just know the mysteries should not be dread.
It's all in fun, love, and laughter gained.
Sometimes the simple thing we need to see
A touch, a hug, a hey how have you been?
These spent moments live on in eternities, to those whom we've given freely.
With our actions, words, and care we can change worlds within if we dare.
Forgetful of those lonesome trails, we're allowed to span the skies.
Climbing high along the mountainsides, we find everything is open to our minds eye.
Inspiring muses have been gained, through lofty new heights attained.
Finding ourselves upon our enlightened ways.
