Enough Poem by Leanne Brigoli

Enough

Pleased to know thy name
Ought to know thou more
Yonder than what I discern
Into depths of the words, thou utter

Ought to have thee
Yearning to have us
If given a chance
What an eidolon love

Dear of mine
Thy muse can't deny
I loved thee from the start
Was true, was genuine, my love

I saw these pictures
Thine eyes looking unto mine
I said I was over it
And should no longer feign

Let the hope totter
Thine heart shall ponder
May destiny bring us through?
The depths of me and you?

Let us withhold it like this
As if we haven't acted like that
Unlearn the things we once had
Chase the life you wished to have

The end is ours
Or maybe not
But for both of us
This is enough.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Sometimes the person you thought you might be ending with is not really the person God planned you to be with. You just ended up admiring who they really are at a distance, but you know that in time someone more suitable will complement you as a lover
