On writing poems Poems spring forth like a weed out of place From seeds spread in another time and space Growing until they gain your attention. Something must be done in apprehension That the weed (or poem it that be) Will pollinate and more will be set free. So bring out the weed killer or hoe Maybe, hand weeding on the go, For if you don't suppress this irresistible force You have no one to blame but yourself, of course. s
