Ephemeral Euphoria Poem by J.C. Masa

Ephemeral Euphoria

Being with you feels like home, you offer me hope and the will to carry on.
You bring me peace with your presence when I'm at war with myself alone.

How I wish I could live that ephemeral euphoria again,
so I can prove that my love is neither experimental nor in vain—
but a devotion eternal, one that will remain.

As I think of you here on the sideline, hoping you'll cross my dreams again,
I can't keep you out of my mind; all I want is to reminisce again and again.
Just know I will always be here for you, if you need a friend—
even if that's all you can offer for now, I'll never complain.
