Epic loves don't get to see the crack of dawn
They die as the sun kisses gently the surface of the earth
They hide in the shadows denying their birth
Because if they are seen under the morning light
They lose their magic, they lose the fight
The moonlight suits them better
Just enough light to write a letter
To a distant lover, some kind of friend
He is always there, he and his scent
They have a truth so bright and shy
That shines at night up in the sky
Don't try! Don't try!
You hear them cry
Don't pull them out of the dark
You might be blinded by their spark
Let them hide! Let them run!
Do not push them to the sun
Just make sure to keep their secret
Like a one-way train ticket
To a place we call heaven
Where two souls meet and find haven
