Epistle^2



'Kids', I patiently explained,
'were the inevitable result of conjugal relations,
much like obesity of over-eating,
which for, despite the best precautions,
sometimes there is no help-
men being pigs
and women insatiable vultures-
the very real outcome
for which we can be happy or sad'.

I felt badly but- sheesh- gimme a break.
'In my day', I continued,
people who found themselves expecting
quietly moved to Westchester and took a mortgage'.

'Now I've done it', I thought.

But he seemed cool with it- he even laughed!
I left a generous tip;
Thirdly, the doctor's appointment
went incredibly well
At the entrance, I sneezed-
