Equal To You Poem by Lore Me34

Equal To You

Since you say you're sorry. All of us who you wronged suppose to just say ok and have a Kumbaya moment.I don't think so.Your words are shallow because your heart is untrue; because you are only saying I‘m sorry because at this moment it is the in thing to do.You may not be wearing a white hood over your face, but you are putting on a façade when it comes to equality for the black race.We have been marching and protesting for years, but our black faces are what you most fear. For to look at us as equals would bring you shame. For you would have to admit you enslave your equal only because of skin tone in God's name.So you can keep your sorry because your voice is untrue because you and I both know you will never see me as equal to you.
